David
Krueger is the pastor of the First Baptist Church of Linn, Missouri. He is a
native of St. Louis, Missouri, growing up in north county and graduating
from Hazelwood High School. While growing up, David was active in sports and
the Boy Scouts, receiving his Eagle badge in 1971. His parents, Don and
Alice Krueger, are both deceased. He has a twin brother, Daniel, who lives
in Arnold, MO. He is married to the former Linda Orrick. Linda teaches
choral music for the Linn R-2 School District. They were married in 1975.
David was raised in the Catholic faith. He was born-again when he was eighteen years old and joined the Calvary Baptist Church, Jennings, MO. He felt called to the Gospel ministry one year later and was licensed to preach by Calvary Baptist. He was ordained to the Gospel Ministry at Flat Creek Baptist Church, Sedalia, Missouri on August 28, 1977.
David is a graduate of Southwest Baptist University with a B.A. in Religion (1977). He received his M.A. in Speech Communication from Central Missouri State University, Warrensburg, (1988). He is listed in the 1991 edition of Marquis’ Who's Who in American Religion.
David has pastored churches in Sedalia, Missouri (Flat Creek Baptist 1977-82), Adrian, Missouri (1st Baptist 1982-88), and, for eighteen years, has been pastor of the First Baptist Church of Linn. First Baptist Church averages 85 in Sunday School and 120 in the worship service. While an autonomous congregation, First Baptist Church cooperates with the Dixon Baptist Association, Missouri Baptist Convention (MBC), and Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) to help support missions and benevolent agencies. Approximately 25% of the church’s budget is allocated toward missions, evangelism and benevolent work.
David has used computers in the ministry since 1985 when he purchased a Radio Shack Color Computer. He is the author of numerous articles on the use of computers in ministry and software reviews, and for ten years was a contributing editor to Christian Computing Magazine. He was president of the Missouri Baptist Computer Users Group from 1991-1996. He was webmaster for The Pathway, the News Journal of the Missouri Baptist Convention for two years.
David is also involved in several ministries locally and state-wide. He serves on the Board of Governors for Capital Regional Hospital in Jefferson. He served on the Board of Trustees for Hannibal LaGrange Baptist College, Hannibal, Missouri (1993-2003), and was board chairman for two years. He has also been a contract worker for the North American Mission Board (NAMB) of the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) serving as a software trainer for NAMB Church Planters in Missouri.
Hobbies include yard work, gardening, trout fishing and maintaining his web site and blog.
