More important to Baptists today is their role in helping us plumb the depths of Baptist History. Where else do we find a consensus of Baptist Doctrine from a particular time frame? Not in the writings of just a few voices from the past nor of some modern historians who write with a bias, but in the doctrinal confessions of the era. It is with that intent that this page is presented for your perusal. What was the consensus of Southern Baptists from 1845 until the present? You are invited to answer the question for yourself.
