(17-Feb-2006) The Caner brothers, Ergun and Emil, have both weighed in on Tom Ascol's blog in recent days and have taken broad swipes in their comments at Calvinists and Calvinism. 

Dr. Ascol had written a blog on Johnny Hunt's 'anointing' as the next president of the SBC and had asked his readers to give some potential nominees they'd like to see run for the SBC presidency.  Of course his readers were almost unanimous in their choice of Mark Dever or Al Mohler. 

The tone of the Caner brothers has prompted many comments and at last count the comments  numbered well over 100 which is indicative of  how widespread and popular blogging has become among Southern Baptists.

To say this does not bode well for Southern Baptist Calvinists is an understatement.
